Same here. -_- That really sucked. MAL got hit hard.

I've been doing well. I actually just got back from a local show. This band that I'm friends with a few of its members came back home and played a local show for the first time in like over a year, so that was a HUGE deal for my city. It was great to see them all again. And what was even better was that my cousin's band played tonight too so I got to hear them perform as well. ^_^ Totally made my day.

How's everything going with you?

I guess Luck is a skill, and if it fails one can always pray for divine intervention. (I have a professor who says something similar to that.) I agree that relying on experience, planning, or training may cost one's life. And of course one can never be to careful when taking a job that may take one's life no matter how small the chance is, because underestimating anything may truly result in death and same goes for being overconfident.

I admit that I haven't played the actual D&D but I play a few PC games based on it. I like analyzing tactics and strategies done in anime, manga, movies, and pretty much where ever I can find it. I like thing about their strengths and weaknesses, it kind fun.

True, if the person has sufficient training he can alter almost any situation or avoid the situation entirely depending his preferences. But regardless of ones expertise, one can never predict the outcome, since in certain occasion there is an unknown factor that may or may not tip the situation in his favor. So in certain situations expertise alone may not be enough.

Tactics can be very interesting, besides when you watch certain anime or read certain manga you just can help but think about it.
